A Moment, 2013

Wood, stepper motor, microcontrollers, custom-fabricated printed circuit board. 6ft. x 2ft.

A Moment uses persistence of vision to visually “print” messages and graphics in the air. This piece was part of a larger exhibit about the speed of living the “Bali! Bali!” (faster, faster) culture in modern Seoul. The internal clock of the installation displays time in 50 second minutes so the timepiece is always faster than “real” time. This work is a collaboration with Dr. Younghui Kim of Hongik University.
